Chief Engineer / Co-founder

Mike Griffith

Every build starts and ends with Mike. As Chief Engineer, he is the technical backbone of Dadbod Carmod—equally at home under a car, behind a welder, or elbow-deep in a wiring bay at 11 p.m. the night before a race. His fabrication work has turned junkyard finds into cars capable of finishing 24-hour endurance events, and his eye for what is about to break has saved more than one race weekend before it started. If it is mechanical, Mike can build it, fix it, or make it faster.

Team responsibilities

Leads mechanical design, repair, and race prep across the fleet. Fabricates and welds custom parts, roll-cage components, and safety equipment. Directs in-season builds and makes the final mechanical go/no-go call on race day.

Technical Director / Co-founder

Dan Williams

As Technical Director, Dan owns the systems that keep every car running—and keep drivers informed while they are doing it. An electrical specialist by trade and instinct, he can trace a dead gauge or phantom short to its source in minutes, often mid-race, with the whole team waiting. His work on wiring, data, and in-car systems is as essential to race-day performance as horsepower.

Team responsibilities

Designs and maintains electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and onboard electronics. Oversees data logging, gauges, and driver communication, resolves electrical issues under race-day pressure, and keeps build documentation repeatable season to season.

Team Principal / Co-founder

Kevin Post

Kevin leads Dadbod Carmod as Team Principal, setting the direction for a team built on the same commitment as the pros: prepare hard, race smart, and never stop improving. He manages the full arc of the operation—from season planning and budgets to the split-second strategy calls that decide how a race weekend plays out. Kevin turns a group of dads with a garage into a team that shows up ready to compete.

Team responsibilities

Sets team strategy, season schedule, budgets, and long-term goals. Directs race strategy, pit calls, and driver rotation; leads sponsor and partner relationships; and keeps the organization operating with a program-built-to-last mindset.
